In case you missed it… Nic Dawson Kelly in The Waiting Room, Thursday Aug. 5 and Sunday Aug. 8

So I’ve finally listened to The Waiting Room, Syndication 001 the session with Alcoholic Faith Mission. I can’t tell you how great it is to hear the show again after such a long hiatus. I mean the banter between songs is seriously insane and that is also part and parcel to what makes this show a SHOW and not just a podcast of new music. Any old blogger can throw some songs together that he gets from PR folks in his inbox, and claim that they’re his favorites of this month, or week. or summer, or whatever the fuck it is. But to put together a show, a sequence of tracks that go together, and then explain briefly and sacrilegiously in between them what’s going on, to an extent, well… that’s a whole other fucking animal, no?  Yeah, so I’m a bit addicted to the ranting and ravings of Drunk Country (DC) and The Woman of The House (TWoTh). And in those rantings and ravings you will learn a thing or two about music and musicians and the particular album and artist you’re hearing. Yes, it’s music that you’ve not heard of yet, don’t fret… you’ll see it on the big boy blogs in six months or so ;)

Oh god, this new schedule of his has me all whacked out! Saturday’s show caught me sleeping in (again!) so now I have to wait until Thursday to hear Nic Dawson Kelly in The Waiting Room, grrrr!!! But Drunk Country promises to deliver (I know he will) and from what I’ve heard of Nic (his album, Old Valentine, BLEW ME THE FUCK AWAY) you are in for a treat when Thursday (or Sunday) comes around. 6 tracks and an interview! So don’t miss this!

    Thank you, darling. Nice words & that :)

    Everything WILL iron out in the next 2 weeks – we have a catch up session at Radio Phoenix on Saturday & Sunday this week (details to follow in the dueness of course) so everyone will be in line + we’re looking to bring a mid-week station on board very shortly.

    However, I think you mean Syndicated Show #002 (& not #001) for the Alcoholic Faith Mission session show :) but I do understand regarding the jumping all over the shop with time zones & what not becoming confusing. Especially with Phoenix AZ not complying with DST changes… does my head in I can tell you & I’m part of the bloody machine churning this out!
