Yoko Ono's Give Me Something hits hard on the dance charts

Give Me Something (Junior Boys Remix) mp3 Yoko Ono Give Me Something (click on that album title to buy it in itunes, darlings)

A hero of mine for over 30 years now, Yoko Ono is still topping the charts, now with dance tunes (!) under an indie label! This remix by Junior Boys features a song from the Double Fantasy album that she and John released in 1980. Hear it, and listen to the original below; let me know what you think. This was a post-punk, avant garde jab back in the day. It’s been turned into a nice, funky, synthed up and danceable number now. I like it. There’s in fact, a whole bunch of these remixes out. You can find them over on Yoko’s MySpace page and I suggest you do. She’s joined forces with producers and collaborators such as The Flaming Lips, Pet Shop Boys, Basement Jaxx, Danny Tenaglia, Spiritualized, CSS, Felix Da Housecat, Antony and the Johnsons and Peaches, to name a few. Twisted Records has put out a whole series of these under the name ONO, check them out here!
