Joseph Scott, a.k.a. White Pines is coming to Chicago on Sunday night, with Strand of Oaks and you, my dears, had best come out and see them! I’ve been listening to White Pines EP A Face Made of Wood, for months now and finding it to be just the most peaceful, moving folk music. Having recently finished a tour with Cotton Jones, White Pines is seasoned from the road, and bringing a voice of experience to the modern folk scene. This track, “Foot of the Cross” is one that I listen to quite a lot. His voice is just magical, the repeating melody is just enchanting. I’m very much looking forward to seeing this live.
