Darlins, it’s been snowing for 24 hours here and well… I’ve got nothing more to say except that you’ll still find me at these two very different shows this week! I’m not missing these, no way. First up, I’m finally going to see Brendan Losh play. We’ve been twitter buddies for a few months now and I’ve featured his music here before. I’m fully prepared for a night of ambient/folk goodness to blow me away.

And on Thursday, The Abbey is featuring a power pop lineup of really fun, energetic bands. I saw Gidgets Ga Ga and Fitzpatrick at the Cubby Bear a few weeks ago and they were a blast. It’s great to sit with friends of the band and just have a fun time, they made me feel like family.

Don’t hole yourself up in winter and deprive yourself of live music. I swear this is all that gets me through these dreary months. Chicago can be a real downer and without these talented, local people, my life would be so much the worse. I’ll let  you know how it goes, of course. Check my twitter stream, xoxo
