    hanging head in shame now

  • interesting selections. i can’t listen to school of seven bells without thinking about phantogram. it was one of those evenings when, at the end of it all, the supporter (phantogram) you never heard before blows the headliner out-o-the-h2o. secret machines live YES. school of seven bells live NO. seemed a little contrived after the opener. anyway..mouthful of diamonds:

    • it’s funny how some tracks just get glued in our minds that way. I saw them at the end of a great three band set (warpaint, the depreciation guild, school of seven bells) and i also had a fever of about 102 that night and was quite woozy by the end. the whole dance floor was rolling like the sea and the light show was incredible in my tripped out head. the harmonies on that song sound like angels to me even now when i listen to it. it’s one of the most erotic experiences with music i’ve had all year, that night — being so incredibly ill and in a club i go to often and feel at home in, and yet feeling so very vulnerable. ahhhhh
