I have never seen them live, unfortunately. Closest I ever came was when the Electric Soft Parade played some 600 miles away. Ha! Arizona simply doesn’t draw a lot of these niche acts in. Heck, it doesn’t draw in many big ones, either.

Oh and DC, I’m certain Tart had it right – They were simply ‘Brakes’ but there’s an American band also called Brakes, thus the Brakes x3 business here in the States. Their music here (CDs and such) is all under ‘Brakes Brakes Brakes’.

Ah, they were more than wonderful. Guitar heaven… and genre ripping goodness. I love many songs on this album and yes I see your point on it. But the live performances will cover any rough edges that the dopey masses cannot comprehend. Gawd, they were raw and rough in all the right ways tonight!

This whole thing is very interesting. They is indeed known as Brakes Brakes Brakes, but for some unfathomable reason they were shortened to Brakes in the USof.

These are a very VERY good band & we’ve been fans for, like, ever. I am not 100% convinced this album is their breaker in the USof, but I know for a damn fact its big & loud & fun enough to garner them a shitload of attention. Enjoy the ride live, O Tarticles.
