Yup, I’m in a better position now…although I did have a great time in the Thumb. Bad Axe has great people!
And Edmund Fitzgerald wasn’t necessarily in ROTATION, per se; it’s just that we had to play whenever someone requested it.

well ya, sorry, excessive Winward, maybe not as much anymore but still there, ELO yup still on heavy rotation. As for “Wreck”, come on admit it, it was on the playlist no matter what. I swear, I actually kept a mental note and I can think of only 2 days it wasn’t played, and consider I was on the beach 70% of the time without a radio… so that says a lot. And as cheesy as that station is, I will love it forever, it’s my summer love LOL.

I hope your at a station you enjoy now, though come on admit it, you loved playing the same thing over and over

Ha!I used to work at WLEW in Bad Axe. You describe its playlist pretty well…although you forgot the excessive Steve Winwood and ELO.
We had to play Fred Bear, Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, and Copperhead Road because the same people would call in to request those songs all of the time, and the station’s owner was adamant about making sure all requests get on the air.

I know schnitzel is, in fact they have a family style dinner of schnitzel too. Like I said, as “German” is this town is, it’s mostly about the look and people wearing leederhosen.

As for the writing I appreciate it, but I am a spinsters of tails more then a writer I leave that to the pros like Tart

Bratwurst available? I once had the pleasure of trying cheddarwurst, among other things, at a German food festival. It was one of the most gratifying things I ever ate, to say the least. Cheese? Brat? The best. You really are an excellent writer

Andrew, lord knows I wish I knew the police in the area, but it’s so far off the beating path that a state trooper post takes care of about 150 miles of county (if not more) I used to get peeved off on a regular basis with people for not understanding basic land rights… then you get people like this that make you giggle the rest of the summer. Next time I will have to get video as a female air hump in dominate form is something to revel. I’m glad it made ya laugh.

Tart, I love “newer school” stuff, but the thing is I’ve heard a lot of it before in a better way and now its in cookie cutter format. Sad to say it has become harder to impress me… To quote Henry Rollins – “I’m not a snob, I just know what I like”
