This is an excellent review. Very well-written. Why are you not working for a major publication???? In regards to the album, it definitely struck me as odd, but in a good way. The music is unlike anything out right now. You hit the nail when you write that they completely 'un-retro' surf music. I actually had to listen to the album thrice in a span of 4 hours to fully appreciate the layers of the music. This band has to catch on to musical-inclined ears.
