Hahaha, no JC, my real life job will never be revealed! Nice try tho

And yeah, I think live music has a better chance of lifting my mood than just about anything. I mean, I can devour a piece of the most perfect chocolate cake and feel good for about half an hour, but going to a great gig lasts for up to a week of joy! On the other hand, a bad gig can make me turn the Who up really loud in the car, run red lights and eat chocolate cake LOL xoxo

Well, now we all know what you do for a living…..

Live gigs usually get me out of any stinking mood I might well be in. Usually…..but a rotten night has been known to drive me over the edge and I’ll just come home, drink loads of vodka, play The Jam very loud on the stereo, frighten the cats, annoy the neighbours and call in sick the next morning.

Thankfully the last time this happened was probably 2002. Which means either I dont have too many stinking moods or live music is so much better nowadays. Or a combination of both.

Aww, I sympathize with you, Marcy… we lived in the country for 8 years and didn’t see any live music aside from some barbershop quartet and a Utah Phillips show on Labor Day (I kid you not!) oxox

i’m in dire need of seeing a show. i simply live too far away from the real music scene to get there very often, plus the fall is incredibly busy for my son (marching band), which leaves very little time to go out. in a word, i’m jealous!

seems like i know and enjoy a song by ice palace but i can’t think of it. i’ll have to investigate further. and about the contrast podcast, i think that’s totally up to you about when you disclose your pick–i like to keep it a secret in order to entice the reader (yeah, right!) but that’s just me.
