But I'm seeing similarities and important differences, not a rip off one from the other. Where Anthallo has harmonies and a female voice, The Hudson Branch has mostly that one solitary clear note of Cobey's. And where The Hudson Branch builds with guitar work and swooshing of drums to a crescendo of sound, Anathallo builds with guitars and piano keys hit beautifully wild and hard and then brought down to those harmonized voices again. Absolute similarities between the two but that is no crime in my book. And I've only given Anathallo a quick pass over on their MySpace page. If they'd like a more thorough review, I'd love to do one at their request. But if you've a more personal axe to grind with these lovely bands I suggest you email them both, darlin.
