uh yeah, and no I’m not gonna do it after all….

1_Built to SpillSo I was gonna post something else, had it all worked up, pictures and all and then the more I listened to the track the more I hated it and couldn’t bring myself to foist it on you all. Be thankful :)

I’m off to Pitchfork Festival this afternoon. There’s a live webcast here. But be careful, it loads automatically and it will blast you with audio if your speakers are turned up! (yeah, I know from experience) I’ll either be too exhausted to put my hands on the keyboard tonight or so freakin excited that I’ll have to post something. Who knows! Stay up in anticipation, ok?!

xoxo

oh and that’s Built to Spill over there and I’m gonna see them tonight, even tho they are on Warner Bros label, which does make one wonder how “indie” this “indie fest” really is and all that, but whatever, pffft…. discuss.

maybe it’s a used to be indie fest….Enjoy! Saw Nico Vega last night. About the 3rd time in the past year. Don’t know if they are on your radar, but they are well worth the look.

    • ha! well, I didn’t make it to Built to Spill afterall, After being blown the fuck away by Yo La Tengo and fighting the crowd to get a few feet away from the mosh pit at the Jesus Lizard show I was completely wiped out. We did hear three songs (my rule – give a band three songs at minimum) from the el platform stairs of Built to Spill and I remembered how much they sound like Neil Young :) What can I say? yeah, well mainstream :) I must say, most of the rest of the fest was rather indie, more so than not.

Nico Vega? hmmm I’ll have to look into them. Thanks!! xoxo
