I have fears, my darling readers…. some fears are unfounded, like my irrational fear of bears. But this fear is real, very real. I’m very afraid that Jon Yeager is going to just slide under the radar screen this year and no one will hear the genius that he is. Listen to “Great Sound” right now! Hear that fucking, amazing voice, wow. Does your soul not ache a bit for 1976? Mine does. Jon Yeager has an EP out Jon Yeager and The Black Magic Mass and I really need to buy this one, I think you might as well.  This little EP is four tracks long and will run ya less than $4. It’s rhythm and blues and indie and smooth and just the kind of music that you want to sway to gently in the arms of your lover.

But don’t think that this is all that Jon Yeager is capable of doing with that fucking, amazing voice. Give “Stars Burning Without Light,” from his 2007, debut LP, Foi a listen. Why did I not hear about this album? Well, readers… time to catch up! xoxo
