about the albums. hmmmm. i have the mysterious production of eggs, armchair apocrypha and of course, noble beast. he has a couple earlier records, too, one called weather systems and i can’t remember the others.

but this is tough. some people like the older stuff coz it’s quirkier and less polished. i know matthew thought armchair strayed a bit too far from his earlier stuff. but i really, really loved armchair and noble beast is still my number one record of the year, so i don’t agree with him. that being said, however, i might start with mysterious because it will give you a feel for how he’s evolving his sound and his lyrics. (armchair was my number 2 album last year, btw). hope that helps. you really can’t go wrong.
