Hockey: “Too Fake” But Really On Tour

Did you see Hockey at SXSW?? It seems there’s alot of dust still settling from that mecca of indie music… here’s another video for you. I like the sound of this band, hailing from Portland and hitting Southern CA and the UK (with Friendly Fires as well as headlining some shows themselves). You can hear them perform at both the Bonnaroo and Sasquatch festivals.

It’s a cool electro/pop sound but infused with a lazy, might-still-be-a-garage-band vocal that’s not annoyingly LA or London I’m-just-a-middle-class-hung-over-twat thing. Do me a favor and go to their MySpace page and listen to “Work,” … Am I crazy to imagine a young Rod Stewart doing that song? That’s no insult, mind you… the Faces were an awesome band!
